Product Information
A fire hydrant pump complete set with 45kW/60hp diesel, electric, and jockey pumps is a prefabricated fire suppression unit designed to provide high-pressure water for firefighting systems. The 3-in-1 configuration ensures that the system remains operational during power outages and maintains constant pressure in the fire protection piping.
Key components
Main electric pump: A 45kW (60hp) high-efficiency pump that serves as the primary water supply for the system. It is powered by the building’s electrical system and is controlled by the main panel.
Main diesel pump: A backup 45kW (60hp) diesel-engine pump that automatically activates if the electric power fails or if the system pressure continues to drop after the electric pump has started. It includes a fuel tank, battery, and a dedicated control system.
Jockey pump: A smaller, lower-power pump (typically a few horsepower) that maintains constant pressure in the fire hydrant system’s piping. Its purpose is to compensate for minor pressure leaks, preventing the main pumps from starting unnecessarily.
Control panel: An automatic electric control panel that acts as the “brain” of the system. It monitors the pressure switches and manages the starting and stopping of the electric, diesel, and jockey pumps, with both manual and automatic operation capabilities.
Pressure vessel (or pressure tank): This accessory works in conjunction with the jockey pump to help maintain stable system pressure.
Manifolds and piping: The pumps are mounted on a common base plate and are connected with suction and discharge manifolds, piping, and valves.
Valves and fittings: The set includes essential components like check valves, gate valves, flexible expansion joints, and pressure gauges.
Common base frame: The entire system—pumps, motors, engine, and control panel—is assembled on a rigid steel base for stability and ease of installation.
