How IKE extension cards work
Capacity: The PABX system’s total capacity is determined by the main unit and the number of extension cards it can accept. For example, some base units with 8 or 16 ports can be expanded by adding 8-port cards.
Expandability: IKE offers several PABX models that support expansion. For instance, the TC-2000DK series is expandable, allowing users to add extension cards (typically 8-port cards) to increase the number of extensions.
Compatibility: The extension card must be compatible with your specific IKE PABX model. For example, a card designed for the TC2000DK series will only work with that system.
Installation: Installation typically involves opening the PABX unit’s housing and slotting the new card into an available expansion bay. In some systems, multiple cards are interconnected via specialized connectors.
